The Big 5

The Big 5, the largest construction event in the Middle East, is out to demonstrate that it is a showcase for the full spectrum of the construction sector – from heavy construction equipment and concrete technology to HVACR and solar energy.

At this year’s Big 5, visitors will see a new co-located event that revolves around an expanding sector – heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR).

Following a successful launch edition in March, The Big 5 Heavy will now feature alongside The Big 5, and Middle East Concrete, to form one mega event where the industry can source all products for the construction cycle under one roof.

The Big 5 Solar is returning this year as part of The Big 5 to showcase solar energy solutions for Dubai’s $279.4-billion urban construction sector.

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has partnered with The Big 5 to host its popular ACI Concrete Essentials Seminar Series at the premier construction show this month in Dubai, UAE. The series comes after a successful event held in March this year at The Big 5 Heavy show in Dubai.

UK manufacturer Brett Martin will be returning to The Big 5 for the seventh consecutive year to put the spotlight on its world-class range of high-performance polycarbonate roofing and glazing sheets, FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) skylights and bespoke skylight systems.

BSRIA, a UK-based non-profit association providing specialist services in construction and building services, will be presenting its membership services at a briefing session during the inaugural HVAC R Expo behind held alongside The Big 5.

Business France, the national agency supporting international development of the French economy, has set up two pavilions at The Big 5 to allow French companies to seize new opportunities or reinforce their existing presence in the region.

At The Big 5 show in Dubai, French sanitary and heating plumbing specialist Flovea will be putting the spotlight on its latest innovation Flowbox Interactive, which features smart home technology. Flowbox is a hydraulic integrator, which enables easy management of a plumbing network remotely through a dedicated interface.

Five innovative handles that are the result of a research and development effort involving renowned international architectural studios will be in the limelight at Dnd’s stand at The Big 5, following their successful unveiling at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy, in April this year.
