Aldar sold out the first phase of its Dh2.4-billion ($653.2 million) waterfront development, Water’s Edge, on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island, at last month’s Cityscape Global in Dubai.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has awarded a contract to Saudi Arabia’s Acwa Power and China’s Shanghai Electric for developing the Dh14.2-billion ($3.86 billion) Phase Four of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park which will have a 700 MW capacity.

FAM Holding to develop resort FAM Holding has acquired a 126,000-sq-ft plot on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island to develop a new resort. The Al Mahra Resort, which will be a 45-minute drive from Dubai, is scheduled to open in 2021.
