The Kuwaiti government has awarded a Chinese firm a contract worth KD215 million ($709 million) for infrastructure projects  in the South Matlaa area of the country, said a report.

The Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (Sezad) has granted Oman Tank Terminal Company (Ottco) a usufruct right to construct a crude oil storage terminal at Ras Markaz, about 70 km south of Duqm in the sultanate. Ottco is one of Oman Oil Company’s subsidiaries and the investment arm for the sultanate in the energy sector.

Qatar-based AlJaber Engineering (JEC) has been awarded contracts worth QR1.6 billion ($438 million) by New Port Project (NPP) steering committee for designing and building food security facilities and warehouses at Hamad Port in Doha.
