Saudi Arabia is likely to remain the dominant construction market in the GCC for the foreseeable future, with an estimated $200 billion spend in construction planned over the next two years and much more in the pipeline, according to a report.

Malaysia-based Eversendai Corp, an engineering and construction company, said it has won a contract from Saudi Arabia to carry out the steel works and cladding for Lines One and Two of the Riyadh Metro stations.

Global infrastructure and development services corporation Louis Berger has been named the programme management office consultant (PMOC) for an ambitious transportation infrastructure initiative in Madinah.
