Havelock completes cinema fit-out

Regional interior contractor Havelock One has completed the fit-out works for VOX Cinemas at Nakheel Mall in The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, its fifth new VOX Cinemas outlet in 2019.

 The 6,000-sq-m Nakheel Mall project boasts 15 theatres with more than 900 seats and additional 26 slots designed to provide ample space for wheelchair users who have dedicated elevator access across the two floors.

 Of these theatres, four offer a fine-dining experience with their own VIP lounges, one features a MAX mega-screen with 282 spacious premium view seats and a Kids auditorium, also equipped with a comfortable reception and play area.


HBK boosts Merc Benz fleet

HBK Contracting Company has signed an agreement with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, for the supply of Mercedes-Benz Actros heads.

Boasting decades of experience, the Actros has become the most frequently sold truck in the region. High reliability and low total cost of ownership coupled with impressive durability – these are the characteristics that traditionally define Mercedes-Benz trucks, according to Mercedes-Benz.

The agreement is aimed at upgrading the HBK Contracting Company’s fleet of trucks and meet the increasing demands of its projects.


Kanoo Cranes is Maeda dealer

Kranlyft Group, a Swedish master distributor for innovative Maeda mini cranes, Klaas aluminium truck and trailer cranes, has appointed Kanoo Cranes as the exclusive Maeda dealer for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain market.

Kanoo Cranes is a division of the Kanoo Group, one of the largest family-owned businesses operating in the GCC region. This division was created to focus on providing engineered crane solutions to the construction and industrial markets as well as the oil and gas industry.

All sales activities for new models and aftermarket with service will henceforth be managed by Kanoo Cranes in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain, stated Acting CEO Fahad Kanoo after signing the distribution contract with Kranlyft Group CEO Jurgen Vater.

Kanoo Cranes will be handling a defined Maeda territory for sales, parts and services in a bid to increase the penetration of Maeda products in the Gulf region.
